Make your first (or next) $1,000 online in a matter of weeks, not months.
The $1K Course Blueprint is a step-by-step plan to build and launch your first (or next) online course.
Stop waiting.
Start launching.
One of the biggest mistakes I see Creators make early in their career is waiting to develop and sell a product.
It’s important for new Creators to overcome this hesitancy and start selling products as soon as possible. Selling a product not only generates revenue, but it also validates your business idea and gives you credibility.
You become a person who ships and solves problems for others. That improves the lives of your customers and makes you money.
Win-Win 🤝
Have you faced any of these course launch challenges?
I’ve launched a dozen courses on my own, and nearly 100 courses for clients over the past 5 years. In this time I’ve observed 3 core challenges Creators face, regardless of their audience size or business revenue. Do any of them sound familiar to you?
Overthinking
Course Lessons
You don’t need to “teach everything you know” in the course. Instead, focus on a simple, helpful outcome you know people need (and will pay for).
Overwhelmed by
Tech Setup
Between hosting platforms, email marketing, video editing, and cameras, there’s a lot to think about. I get it! You’ll learn from my mistakes and only focus on the essential tools for launch.
Terrified of
Being “Salesy”
When you understand your customer and what they need, selling is easy, not sleazy. You’re just describing the problem your customer has, and offering them a solution to reach their goals.
How courses fit in your Creator business:
Courses are a key piece of the creator-driven business because it allows you to teach your best stuff to an unlimited number of people at their own pace.
Having a course shows people “I know what I’m talking about and I can help you.” It also gives you a helpful price anchor for other offers, like coaching.
I made this course about courses because I kept seeing a lot of common misconceptions from HeyCreator members and our agency clients. Things like:
- Courses take a lot of time to create
- Courses take a lot of equipment, i.e. nice video and audio
- Courses have to be a lot of lessons and cover a lot of content
- I’m a coach (consultant, freelancer, agency, etc.) and don’t need courses
So I want to show you that none of that is true and a course is actually a lot easier than you think.
Here are a few of the systems and frameworks you’ll learn…
Use the 1-3-3-1 Method to outline your course.
This is the simplest and most effective outline strategy to create your course mvp (minimum viable product). Here’s the breakdown…
- 1 Clear Outcome for Customers
- 3 Steps to Achieve the Outcome
- 3 Lessons to Complete Each Step
- 1 Q&A to Implement Lessons
This isn’t a guide to major cohort course launch. This is a simple, repeatable framework to build, launch, and test your course concept in a matter of weeks, not months.
* What people are saying about the 1-3-3-1 method.
Easy to follow guides for essential Creator tools.
One of the biggest roadblocks for Creators is figuring out the tech stuff – there’s a lot to sort and figure out. Luckily, I’ve launched over 100 courses in the past 5 years and know what you need to focus on and what can be skipped.
Learn exactly what’s needed to create, upload, format, and edit your course content using…
- Kajabi for product sales
- Loom or Descript for videos
- ConvertKit for email marketing
But it’s not just for new course creators…
If you’re an experienced course creator wondering what your next offer should be — don’t wasted months building a course you’re not sure about. Validate the idea with a paid workshop first.
The workshop validation model is a process we take all of our clients through when developing new course ideas — and in just a couple of weeks. Sell first, build second.
Here’s what Ryder Carroll of Bullet Journal had to say about our course launch process:
Working with HeyCreator led to our best launch ever! We sold over 1,000 courses and generated $180,000 of revenue in one week — which is what we had done the entire year! This team knows what they are doing 👏
Proven sales frameworks to make your offer unique and helpful – not pushy and pressured.
Selling your offer is one of the trickiest and most stressful parts of the process. I understand that at a deep level. You know the value of the course and the transformation it can bring. So tell people that!
Understanding your ideal customer’s problems and needs, then inviting them into a story of transformation — that’s the best, and easiest, way to sell. Here are a few ways to do that:
QUESO by Matt Ragland (me!)
QUESO is a series of 5 prompts that share your story of transformation with solutions for others to join you on the journey. No chips required 🧀
5 Lightbulbs by
Billy Broas
The 5 Lightbulbs is a messaging framework that shows the potential buyer the ideal future outcome and illuminates each step of the path to success.
Bonus: Billy is teaching a live session in the course!
The Ideal Customer Persona (ICP)
The best way to sell is through empathy and deeply understanding your customer. The blueprint walks you through the 4 elements of the ICP and crafting a message that resonates.
My promise:
Do the work and you’ll make $1,000.
Launching your first course can be a terrifying experience. There’s so much you don’t know yet, and the number of small decisions to make about the course, content, and sales can truly be overwhelming.
I’ve worked with thousands of Creators since 2015 and have been a part of some of the biggest course launches in the world. I’ve had big six figure launches and total flops. The team at HeyCreator has developed a simple course design and launch system that takes out the guesswork and just lets you do your thing.
Stop overthinking and delaying — build a profitable course today.
Question for you…
Do you have lots of ideas for content but struggle to generate momentum and turn them into working products? Are you held back by a frustrating perfectionism that keeps you from making progress?
Or do you have a specific idea, but overthink the lessons, layout, video script, picking a microphone, and on and on?
Maybe you’re familiar with the dread of the approaching calendar event where you promised yourself you would work on the course, only to look for anything else to do instead?
Or perhaps you’re going to spend more time “planning” the course by watching YouTube videos, listening to podcasts, or scanning ebooks on how to do it right.
Here’s the good news — you’re not alone.
Look, you get it. You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t understand how valuable this is.
You know the benefit of having an always-on, profitable course offer that makes you money day after day, week after week. But the struggle is real, and it’s scary to dedicate time, effort, energy, and some money to making your course a reality.
After following the $1K Course Blueprint, these issues become a thing of the past. You know how to build, test, and launch any product idea in days or weeks, instead of stressing about it and overthinking it for months (or years).
And the best news is that you can use this skill for any new business, course, or product that you offer in the future.
This isn’t just a way of building courses, it’s a way of building a print-on-demand money machine for your ideas.
By investing in the $1K Course Blueprint, you’re not only investing in your business now, but also in your future success. I have dedicated my life to helping Creators like you build a business that serves you, not just another job you have to work.
Don’t wait any longer. Take charge of your business and give yourself the edge you need to grow both personally and professionally. Join the $1K Course Blueprint today and experience the transformation you deserve.

I’ve been working on the front lines of the creator economy since 2015. I was employee #5 at ConvertKit and #12 at Podia. I built a YouTube channel to (almost) 100,000 subscribers and have been fortunate to work with top Creators like Ryan Holiday, Justin Welsh, Amanda Goetz, Dan Go, and more.
Now I’m the co-founder of HeyCreator, the world’s best community for Creators to build a business they love. Our goal is to launch 1,000 Creator businesses in 2024, and the $1K Course Blueprint is the best way to start yours. Ready?

FAQ
Can you guarantee I make $1,000?
I wish I could, but I can’t guarantee that outcome. I can say that I’ve guided hundreds of customers and clients through this process and the success rate is very high when you do the work.
Do I have to use ConvertKit and Kajabi?
You do not! These are the tools I’m most familiar with and recommend to students. In my opinion they are the best balance between simplicity, design, and power. Look elsewhere if you want, but don’t delay your launch by months because you’re kicking the tires on every course platform.
Do you offer refunds?
If you don’t like the content and request a refund within 14 days, let me know and I’ll issue a refund. If you forgot all about the course, didn’t do the work, and it’s been a month (or more)… no refunds.
